At the end of every Flu Campaign we have to submit our overall “uptake” figures to ensure we have vaccinated as many eligible patients as possible. This year we had a very good uptake for our over 65s, and achieved the 75% target. However, we were not as successful with our under 65 ‘at risk’ patients as only achieved 53%
These are patients in categories such as Asthma, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease and a new category of Morbidly Obese (BMI above 40). If you fall into one of these categories and didn’t take up the offer of a flu vaccine, the Practice would be interested to hear any ideas that you might have to make this easier for next year’s campaign.
